My goal as a financial coach is to educate you on the basics of personal finance and, as a team, create a plan that reflects your values and goals. I aim to empower you to take responsibility for decisions, support you in your continued learning, and serve as an accountability partner and guide on your financial journey.
I help you decide what financial confidence means for you, work with you to embrace new habits, encourage you when the process gets tough, and hold you accountable to your goals.
My area of expertise and passion lies in helping women to take control of their finances following the end of a relationship. I started my career as a family lawyer, but I quickly realized I much prefer serving women going through divorce in other ways.
My experience as a family lawyer gives me a unique perspective when helping clients navigate post-relationship financial and emotional challenges.
In addition to my law degree, I am a certified financial advisor, a graduate of the Financial Coach Academy* and a Certified YNAB Coach**.
Working from home as a mom of three boys is like trying to keep a lid on a boiling pot of spaghetti - it’s messy, chaotic, and sometimes downright impossible. But somehow, we manage to get through it all with a smile (or at least a semi-functional one). I've got three boys, ages 8, 6, and almost 2. It's busy.
For starters, my daily routine includes getting two boys to school, welcoming the babysitter, breakfast, emails, sibling fights, and snack requests all at the same time. It’s like a game of whack-a-mole - just when I think I’ve got it under control, another issue pops up.
And let’s not forget the joys of video conferencing. Nothing quite says “professionalism” like a child screaming in the background or walking into the frame in their underwear (if I'm lucky). My boys particularly enjoy sitting in the background pretending to be part of the discussion. "Mommy's working right now" means nothing to them.
But despite the challenges, being a work-from-home mom of three boys has its perks. For one, I never have to worry about my coworkers stealing my lunch - my boys take care of that for me. I'm lucky if there's adult food in the house. And the occasional interruption from a kid needing a hug or a snuggle break is a sweet reminder of why I’m doing this in the first place.
In the end, being a mom of three boys working from home is like being on a never-ending rollercoaster ride - it’s bumpy, unpredictable, and sometimes (often) makes you want to scream. But it’s also full of love, laughter, and an abundance of fart jokes. So buckle up, fellow mompreneurs, and enjoy the ride.
